MORE CARDS FROM THE 2016-2017 ANNUAL CATALOG

20160818_13281120160814_18095120160814_180855  Having some more fun playing with some of the items in this year’s catalog.  The first one is using the embossing folder called Floral Affection and watercoloring the flowers and the leaves.  Also using one of the new in-colors (sweet sugarplum) paper and dsp.  Actually this embossing folder comes with another in the same package and costs only $9.  This is an inexpensive way to make a great card.  The other embossing folder is a flower that can also be watercolored.  The second card is using the new Vertical Greetings stamp set and is a must for anyone who does not have a vertical greetings stamp set.  The tree can also be dressed up with some red to make a christmas card (red bow, enamel dots, red paper, red ribbon and of course a christmas greeting).  The third card is using the Floral Boutique DSP with some botanical die cut flowers (botanical builder framelits).  All these products can be found on my on-line store at http://darleneseitz.stampinup.net.

Have a very crafty day.

Workshop Cards

20160722_11544320160722_11505720160722_105149Here are some cards I am planning to use in my next workshop. The Just for you card I will be demonstrating how to do the background colors.  It is really simple to do.  Take an acrylic block (e used here) and stampin up markers and draw a line with the marker starting at the bottom.  Use as many colors as you want cover the whole block or part if you want some white showing through.  Spray the block with water using either a spritzer or a small water bottle.  Then stamp the block onto watercolor paper and let dry.  This technique is good to use with a large greeting stamp as shown here.  The Happy Birthday card is watercolor using In the Meadow stamp set which is in the 2016-2017 annual catalog.  If you are in the Southern California area, I would love to demonstrate this technique at a party/workshop that you host.  The third card uses the DSP Floral Boutique and the die cut from Rose Wonder.  Any greeting would be appropriate with this card.  This stamp set and die set is also available in the new catalog.  Contact me at darstz@hotmail.com if you are interested in hosting a workshop/party or would like to purchase a kit to put these cards together yourself.  Shop 24/7 at my stampin up website:  http://darleneseitz.stampinup.net

July Paper Pumpkin-Alternative Card

Hi everyone!  Today I’m featuring a card I made with the July paper pumpkin kit.  The stamps are cute and feature a “sparkle theme”.  The bottom of the card was material from the kit and I used some shinney copper paper I had.  I also used the shinney copper paper and used the swirly bird thinlet for a backround to the greeting paper.  I used some copper tinsel type material to divide the two papers and used the diamond stamp on the shinney copper stamped in an old color, dusty durango.  I embossed the “brilliant” word in copper which is available in this years catalog.  Stampin Up also offers copper thread this year which would also look nice with this card.  The greeting and the bling on the tag are both stamps in the set included in this months kit.  As a final touch, I took a pearl and colored it with a copper sharpie.  This was a fun card to make and I love the copper.  Besides the intended projects, it is so fun to think of alternative ideas each month that can be made from the kits.
